Cobblestone Hall had a pleasure of hosting the Handmade Market, a semi-annual shopping event. November 12, 2011 was a beautiful, fun day filled with shopping. The market was offerred so many fun goodies and the turn out was great! There was even a line of people waiting before it opened! This one day, indoor designer craft market features fine art, apparel, jewelry, accessories, housewares, paper goods, and more.

With over 50 independent designers, artists, and crafters it was the perfect kick-start to holiday shopping. Homemade treats and coffee were offered and the first 500 shoppers recieved free goodie bags. Admission was also free, but instead shoppers were asked to consider making a small donation to the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. The event is produced each year by The Handmaidens, a North Carolina collective of independent designers and also through donators and volunteers. It was so much for Cobblestone Hall to host the Handmade Market, it was a great day!

A Beautiful Fall Affair for Mr. & Mrs. Hines

Congratulations to Matthew and Nicole Hines!! The newlyweds celebrated their wedding at Cobblestone Hall on November 5, 2011.

It was a magical evening filled with laughter, love, dancing, and food. The guests indulged in variety of delicious food options including a home made s’mores table, hot apple cider served in mason jars and much more.

In addition to the amazing food there was a fun photo booth that everyone got in and took pictures. Also the couple had a beautiful patchwork quilt for each of the guests to sign in place of a guest book and a touching remembrance table. Everything was really personal and creative! The room looked stunning with the deep purple and beige linens and long dramatic willow branches in the centerpieces.

Family and friends all toasted to Matthew and Nicole’s future and wished them well. The guests waved purple and white ribbons as the happy couple departed to begin their lives together in a painted and decorated Land Rover (which looked awesome!). All of us at Cobblestone Hall and Showtime Events are honored to have been part of the wonderful celebration!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Trumbo!!

Cobblestone Hall looked beautiful on Saturday, October 29, 2011 for Chris and Colleen’s reception! The room looked filled with navy blue and ivory linens and green accents. LED lighting lit up the room and colorful lanterns hung over the dance floor.

All of the guests were given mini vases of flowers as escort cards which was a very unique and memorable part of the event. The candy table, filled with blue, green, white, and silver candies, was a lot of fun and really timely with Halloween only a few days away!

Family and friends toasted to the couple’s exciting future together and danced the evening away. The flowers, provided by Fallon’s were stunning and the food was delicious!! It was a magical night for all! We were excited to help celebrate with the lovely couple.

NCSU Institute for Emerging Issues Discovery Forum Meeting

On Thursday, November 3, 2011 Cobblestone Hall hosted the Institute for Emerging Issues Discovery Forum for local young professionals. The outreach event had a tremendous turn-out.

Recent graduates in the Raleigh area gathered together for an evening of networking, food and drinks, and speeches. Presentations were given by 15 speakers from all over the state who spoke about a wide range of ways to connect and support various causes in the area. With a theme of “how can we make North Carolina and its communities better than they already are?” each presenter was given 5 minutes (enforced by the ever comical cow bell) to talk about how they have impacted their community.

Green Planet Catering provided light hor d’evours on biodegradable and recyclable plates, napkins, and silverware. The room looked great and the guests had a wonderful time. Many lingered well after the presentations ended to network and communicate with one another.

Congratulations Meredith & Seth!

Saturday, October 22, 2011 will always hold a special place in the hearts of the new Mr. and Mrs. Moody. Meredith and Seth celebrated their wedding day at Cobblestone Hall and it was a magical evening for everyone!

The venue looked amazing with splashes of bright cardinal red, ivory, and wheat color linens. Julie Liles Florals provided the centerpieces that captured colors, height, and depth of the space beautifully, while complimenting the linens. Up-lighting around the room brought everything together and was the perfect touch!

Following their first dance, family and friends toasted and cheered to the newlyweds and everyone danced the night away to the fabulous live music provided by the band Hip Pocket. A Photo Booth captured images all of the guests and they were asked to place their photos in a scrapbook for the couple. It was the perfect way for Meredith and Seth to remember such a fun night!

Catering was provided by Rocky Top and for dessert the guests had 5 different flavors of delicious cake to choose from. The couple also gave away Cookies for Cancer to each guest on their way out and provided a donation to children with cancer.

The guests bid goodbye to the new couple and waved sparklers as they rode off to begin their future together in a vintage 1960′s Excaliber. It was quite an elegant affair and we were honored to be a part of the special night.

Meredith College Ring Dinner Class of 2013

Cobblestone Hall had the honor of hosting the Meredith College Ring Dinner and Ceremony on October 21, 2011. It was a special evening filled with excitement and tradition for all of the Meredith students.

The Junior class at Meredith College gathered together to celebrate finally getting to put on their class ring, which is a very important and symbolic tradition at the college. Many of them had been waiting for this moment for years. Tonight would be that special night for all in attendance!

The room looked amazing with orange, white, and green colors on all of the tables. The centerpieces featured flowers, college books, and an authentic rustic decor feel. Fall colors created by LED up-lighting around the perimeter of the venue pulled the entire look of the room together.

Wonderful Table Displays!

As Lady Fingers Catering served a delicious plated dinner for the guests anticipation built as speeches were given from the Meredith College President and alumni about the importance of the Ring Ceremony. When it finally came time to place the class rings on their fingers the entire room was buzzing with excitement and joy. It was a perfect evening that will be remembered by the Class of 2013 of Meredith College for the rest of their lives.

New York, New York… Kristi & Chris Get Married!

Friday night was a special day for Kristi and Chris! The weather was beautiful and Cobblestone Hall was totally transformed into a Fall wonderland. It could not have been a more perfect day for a large group of New Yorkers to get together and celebrate. More than half of the guests travelled from the NY area to celebrate the couple’s magical day!

The incredibly fun group cheered, toasted, danced, and partied the entire time while the room sparkled with copper and ivory linens, an LED bar, and beautiful centerpieces. The food and s’mores dessert table were delicious and a huge hit with the guests!

This group really was fun! Almost all the guests stayed until the very end of the night. The guests bid goodbye to Kristi and Chris with a sparkler exit while the couple rode off in a rickshaw to begin their future together. It was quite an exciting evening for everyone!

Anne & Jake Tie The Knot!

On a beautiful Fall evening, Cobblestone Hall had the pleasure of hosting the reception of the new Mr. and Mrs. Jake Wilson! The room was beautiful with hot pink and black linens and excitement was in the air! The centerpieces were created by The Atrium Florist in Clinton, NC and looked awesome! The acrylic LED bar illuminated the front of the space with additional LED uplighting around the perimeter of the room. LED cocktail tables surrounded the dance floor! It was the perfect set-up!

The guests toasted to the happy couple and Steve Stowe from Joe Bunn DJ Company got the guests up and dancing. The food was delicious and the cake was gorgeous! At the end of the evening the couple cleared the room and placed candles in a circle on the dancefloor. Anne and Jake enjoyed a memorable , touching, and private final dance together with candles all around them. After the guests waved sparklers down the path as the couple rode off in a rickshaw to begin their future together. It was a magical celebration!

Lisa & Josh’s Cobblestone Hall Reception

Congratulations Josh and Lisa!! The awesome couple celebrated their marriage on Saturday evening with lots of fun and dancing! The linens and the orange, yellow, and red flowers gave the room a warm “Fall” feeling and the weather outside could not have been more perfect. Joe Bunn played awesome music that got the crowd going and the food was delicious! The cake was stunning, as if we expected anything less!

Family and friends had a blast, it was a magical evening! The couple rode off in a rickshaw to begin their future with lots of cheers from the guests! We have been helping Josh and Lisa plan for over a year now and it has truly been so much fun to work with them! We were so glad to be a part of the wonderful affair.

Congratulations Elizabeth & James!

The gorgeous couple celebrated their wedding reception on September 24, 2011 at Cobblestone Hall! The venue looked beautiful with special details at every turn including purple and green up-lighting around the room and fantastic centerpieces. The colors against the black linens and white chairs looked awesome! It was stunning.

The couple’s families and friends toasted to Elizabeth and James’ happy future and danced the evening away. The food was great (thank you Triangle Catering) and the cake (Blue Moon Bakery) was beautiful!

The guests blew bubbles as the couple departed to begin their new life together. The evening was truly wonderful and we were honored to be a part of the celebration! Congratulations again to the new Mr. and Mrs. Fair!
